Unable to Recognize Herself, An Overweight Mother Drops 69 Pounds

There many people around the world that are struggling to lose weight. For these people, getting in shape comes from a combination of a desire to enhance their wellbeing, enhance their appearance, and feel good in their own particular skin. For some, their fight against weight reduction has been a long lasting battle. For others, changes in life, for example, marriage, childbirth, or anxiety made them gain weight gradually and now they have come to a point where they need to shed additional pounds.

The journey of Kristian Lockridge, a 33-year-old mother from Alabama, to become more fit began after she saw a photo of herself in 2012 and understood that she was not happy with what she saw. Her weight reduction story finishes with her running a marathon in April 2015 in the wake of losing 69 pounds.

It was in 2012 that Kristin Lockridge saw a photo of herself that made her break down and cry. Her weight gain had been severe to the point that she did not perceive herself when she looked into the mirror. At this moment she realized that she could not go through life overweight. So both Kristin Lockridge and her spouse decided to start losing weight.

Kristin Lockridge said that the hardest part of this process is being mentally onboard. From her vantage point, getting more fit was a 100 percent mental activity. She said that when an individual is mentally onboard with it, there is nothing that prevents them from getting what they need.

The initial step was to order workout DVDs that are based on popular weight reduction TV show. At that point she started to utilize a dieting system that uses points to aid monitor intake. Toward the end of her first week, Kristian, then age 30, had officially lost four pounds. From that point she started to set practical goals. Her first goal was to drop 30 pounds before she turned 31. At that point she concluded that she needed to lose an extra 10 pounds before going on a holiday. Next, she told herself that when she will celebrate her wedding anniversary she has to lose a total of 50 pounds. At whatever point she had a feeling for quitting, her spouse was there to remind her why she started.

Her success brought Kristian one stage closer to her end goal. She began to go to the gym center and lift weights. She understood that the more weights she lifted, the more weight she lost. She has said that food no more has control over her. She is always reminding her followers on Facebook that getting more fit is a slow procedure and that quitting just makes the procedure slower. It is hard to lose weight, but it is also hard to be overweight.
